Someone to watch your search terms every week

Search ads waste money quietly through broad matches and missing negatives. A service partner can set up the account and check it on a regular schedule.

What search ads management covers

Search ads appear when someone types a query into Google or Bing and one of your keywords matches it. Management is the ongoing work around those ads: choosing the searches you want to appear for, writing the ads, setting bids and budgets, and reading what people actually typed before they clicked.

Most small and mid-sized businesses start with Google Ads and add Microsoft Advertising later, often by importing the Google campaigns and adjusting them. The accounts stay in your name. A provider works inside them with access you grant, and you can remove that access whenever you like.

Google and Microsoft run the auctions and decide how often an ad shows. Management controls the inputs: keywords, match types, negative keywords, ad text, assets, conversion tracking and spend limits.

What search ads work usually includes

The exact scope is agreed with the service partner, but most search engagements cover these pieces:

  • An audit of the existing account, or a clean build if there is none.
  • Keyword research and a plan for match types by campaign.
  • A starting list of negative keywords, added to every week after launch.
  • Responsive search ads with several headlines and descriptions, plus sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets.
  • Location, language, network and schedule settings checked one by one.
  • Conversion actions set up and tested, usually through Google Tag Manager.
  • Bidding and budget settings matched to how much conversion data the account has.
  • A regular pass through the search terms report.
  • A short written summary of changes and what to watch next.

Before you request a search ads quote

A provider can give a clearer quote if you have a few answers ready. You do not need all of them, and the notes box on the quote form is fine for rough answers.

  1. Do you already have a Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising account, and is it active?
  2. Roughly how many services or product lines would you advertise?
  3. Do you serve the whole US or specific states?
  4. What monthly ad spend range are you considering?
  5. Is your quote form already sending form fills somewhere you can see them?
  6. Is anything about your offer regulated, so ad wording needs care?

The partner who picks up the request will ask follow-up questions before scoping anything.

Questions about search ads management

Do I need both Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising?

No. Most accounts start with Google Ads because it carries most US search volume. Microsoft Advertising can be added later, often by importing the Google campaigns and then adjusting settings. Whether it is worth the extra upkeep depends on your buyers and budget, which the service partner can talk through with you.

Should Google's automatic recommendations be switched on?

Many managers turn off auto-apply and look at each recommendation by hand. Some are useful, such as fixing a missing asset. Others widen targeting or raise budgets. Ask your provider how they handle them, and check the change history now and then to see what was applied.

Can you take over an account someone else built?

Yes. The work usually starts with an audit of the existing structure, keywords, negatives, conversion actions, bid strategy and settings such as search partners and location targeting. From there the partner suggests what to keep and what to rebuild. Existing history is worth keeping where it is sound.

A few details about your business is enough to begin. A service partner replies to you directly.
